EMT6 is an epithelial tumor of the mammary glands of BALB/cCrgl Mus musculus. This tumor has produced an adherent cell that requires storage in liquid nitrogen. EMT6 has been used in mice to study the antitumor potential of Cutibacterium (Propionibacterium) acnes, the bacteria responsible for acne in humans, and melatonin.

Tumor studies performed in mice are helping the medical community learn better ways to diagnose and treat cancer in humans. One of the most virulent tumors is the 4T1 tumor, a mouse tumor of the mammary gland.

As a contract flow lab, FCSL frequently runs immunophenotyping assays for clients, though it is just one of the flow cytometry services we offer. CD Markers are commonly used in immunophenotyping to identify cells based on what molecules are present on the surface of each cell.
